Ken, Tim, Matt and Kevin bring you The Audible's WCAC Spectacular, wrapping the spring season for the greatest high school sports conference in the land.

The St. John's Cadets had a solid spring on the athletic fields over on Military Road as the boy’s varsity lacrosse and varsity baseball teams brought home Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships.

The lacrosse team was led by defensive stalwart and conference player of the year Colin Hinton [Committed to Maryland] and first year head coach Wes Speaks as they defeated rival Gonzaga in the championship game, ending the Eagles seven year run of consecutive title game wins.

Mark Gibbs and the baseball Cadets won their 4th consecutive conference championship led by conference player of the year Jack Roberts.  SJC defeated DeMatha in two games to claim the trophy.

Led by conference player of the year Kayla Duperrouzel and coach of the year Rick Sofield, the Bishop Ireton's girl’s varsity lacrosse team beat Good Counsel to claim their second consecutive championship.

O'Connell claimed the softball trophy, Gonzaga held onto the tennis [2nd straight] and golf [3rd straight] titles as they are on their own winning streak when it comes to conference championships.

Be sure to look for a weekly segement throughout the summer highlighting WCAC and other area conference athletes and coaches.

The Audible

We believe that the WCAC is the greatest high school conference in the nation.

That theme is embodied in our show, where just about every school in the conference is represented in some way [Ken Meringolo (McNamara 94), Kevin Ricca (St. John's 94) and Tim Strachan (DeMatha 94), and our guests each week fill the gaps].

Enjoy the listen and look for our WCAC show in the fall.
